Care of the upper shoe/the sole

For general information about the durability of your kybun shoe and how to clean the kybun air-cushioned sole, please read the important information in the enclosed kybun shoe leaflet. Discolouration of the sole/upper shoe
Please note that natural dyes of vegetable or animal origin contain ingredients (e.g. Aesculin) which can cause an aggressive discolouration of the sole and the shoe. Such damages are excluded from the warranty. Which cleaning and care products should I use to clean the uppers?
When caring for your shoes, use commercially available, mild care and cleaning products from a specialist shoe retailer. After cleaning, a suitable care product should be applied to the uppers of your kybun shoe. You can find more details about the materials here under your kybun model. Does the kybun shoe need to be waterproofed?
To ensure your continued enjoyment of your kybun shoe, we recommend regular waterproofing and cleaning. For leather and synthetic uppers, apply a suitable waterproofing spray, cream or wax before the wearing the shoe for the first time to protect it from water and dirt. Your retailer can advise you on choosing the right care products. Important: Do not waterproof a kybun shoe that has patent leather upper material. The kybun sole is waterproof from the outside; further waterproofing is not necessary. What effect does strong sunlight have?
Strong or prolonged sunlight damages the upper material. The leather and the other materials can become brittle. The colours of the upper and light sole colours can change and yellow. Store your kybun shoe in a dark, cool, and dry place.
